Been away for a while

This Friday, January 28th, 2011, will be my last chemo treatment.  Needless to say I am more than ready to be done with this whole ordeal.  Even though it has been a miserable experience it has also shown me so much.  First off the love of my husband.  He has been my strength when I didn't think I could go another second.  I know this has been so hard on him too, but everyday he lifts spirits and helps me to face this challenge head on.  Second my dear children.  Only 2 of them are still at home, but they have amazed me with their maturity through this.  They have gone with me to doctors appointments and sat with me during chemo treatments.  Now I have to tell you, the chemo room is a pretty depressing place, but never do they complain.  They are their for me and always have a joyful spirit.  Finally, but definitely not the least is God.  God has shown me just how big He is and how much He loves me.  I will never know how anyone goes through challenges in their lives without God.  God has been with me step by step, meeting each and every need along the way.  I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Giving Thanks in November - Day 15

Giving Thanks in November, November 15th: Thankful for music. My life has always been filled with it and I love all kinds except rap (that stuff just ain't music, sorry). There are the songs that lead you in worship of our glorious Savior, make you think of that special someone, take you back to when you were a kid or special place. Then there are those songs that make you want to get groovy! hehehe :D

Giving Thanks in November, November 14th: Today I am thankful for lazy fall Sundays. A day to praise our Lord and Savior, although we can and should do that everyday, naps under Granny's quilts and of course football! Got to be the best day of the week! ;D
