Yesterday I had my first booster shot. The shot is Neulasta and it is a white blood cell booster. It is suppose to help my body make more of its own natural white blood cells to help protect against chemotherapy-related infections. My son Ben wanted to take me and my youngest Rebekah went along too. We arrived at 10:30 a.m. and I finally received my shot at noon. Mondays at the treatment center are BUSY!!! Next time I will try to get there when they open and hopefully won't have to wait so long.
Ben took us to Schlotzsky's for lunch, one of my favorites! By the time we were home I was worn out and slept for 4 hours. I'm not sure if it is the booster shot, the chemo, or everything in general, but I am exhausted today.
I'm very thankful today that my husband takes good care of us and I am able to stay home.
